Tanner Elton, Director

Tanner has a diverse background as a senior executive, management consultant and relationship manager. He currently leads Transformation Solutions, a management consulting firm that he founded. Throughout his career he as managed major projects and held senior positions in the private and public sectors.
In the private sector he has worked for major corporations, and founded a number of start-up initiatives. He has managed major initiatives for Telus, Bell and a number of high tech and environmental technology companies. Most recently, he started a development company that successfully revived an idle pulp mill and then sold it to an international company. He is currently working with a number of companies in the forest sector.
In the public sector, Tanner has worked with and for the federal and provincial governments. He has held senior positions with the Law Reform Commission of Canada, the Ministry of the Solicitor General of Canada, Deputy Minister of Justice, Deputy Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Environment in Manitoba. He has managed a number of major public sector initiatives, including the BC Budget Review Process (the Enns Commission), the Investment Strategy Forum, the Electronic Highway Accord, the Environmental Law Review, and most recently, the Forest Safety Taskforce. He was founding CEO of the BC Forest Safety Council.
He has also been active in teaching and has taught at the University of Victoria, University of Manitoba, Carleton University, McGill, Universite de Montreal and the RCMP Police College.
He is married to his high school sweetheart, Barbara, and they have had three daughters and now four grandchildren.
