Rick Williams,
Fisheries Policy Advisor

Dr. Rick Williams has 25 years’ experience in the fields of social policy analysis, community education, organizational development and fisheries development in Canada and internationally. His areas of expertise include fisheries management policy, stakeholder consultation processes, strategic planning and process facilitation and evaluation research.

Dr. Williams was the Deputy Minister to the Premier for Policy and Priorities for the Province of Nova Scotia from 2009 to 2013. He has been the President and Senior Partner of PRAXIS Research and Consulting Inc. since 1997. Prior to that, he was a faculty member at the Maritime School of Social Work at Dalhousie University.
