Over the years, communities have collected reams and reams of data related to changes on the landbase over time. This data, however, has never been compiled in a format that allows those commu-nities to share and use it in any meaningful way.
When I tell people I'm a cartographer I typically get one of two responses:
"Oh, I love taking photos!" or "Hasn't everything been mapped already?"Ecotrust Canada recognizes that information democracy, the sharing of knowledge, is key to transformation and resilience. Knowledge Systems therefore play a major role in our work.
