FSC® Chain-of-Custody Group

Ecotrust Canada has created an FSC Chain-of-Custody Group (FSC® C012237) for small- to medium-sized wood processors, distributors, and printers, providing members with a cost- and time-effective way for businesses to become FSC certified.

The green building boom, combined with an increasingly conscientious consumer, means a growing demand worldwide for products that leave a positive impact on the world. FSC-certified forest products provide just that. Ecotrust Canada can assist small- to medium-sized wood processors, distributors, and printers in becoming a part of this by providing the following services:

Application package to help assess individual members’ requirements
Group member handbook, which outlines the certification requirements and provides examples and templates for each member
Orientation and training on FSC
Internal monitoring and audits to ensure all members are meeting FSC requirements
General information on FSC certification and SmartWood
Requirements pertaining to FSC name and trademark use

Who is eligible to join?

Potential members must:

Have 15 employees or less, or 25 employees or less with no more than $1 million (USD) in annual sales
Be capable of submitting standardized data in a prescribed form and on a prescribed timeline to substantiate their inputs and outputs of FSC-certified material
