Powering the conservation economy
At Ecotrust, we envision clean, renewable energy that spans and connects people from Alaska to California. The Western Interconnection Grid already connects British Columbia and Alberta with 13 US states - meaning that our energy supply and demand is linked across jurisdictions. We believe the opportunity for British Columbia and First Nations to be leaders in the development of the clean energy sector in the West is enormous, and is necessary for powering the conservation economy.
Last week, a group of business, First Nations and community leaders collaborating to create a BC First Nations Clean Energy Program, hand delivered a letter to Premier Christy Clark, inviting her to join the conversation.
