The Boat Basin Foundation is a nonprofit organization that maintains and operations Cougar Annie’s Garden and the Temperate Rainforest Field Study Centre in cooperation with Ecotrust Canada and the Hesquiaht Nation. The heritage site and educational facility are 50 km northwest of Tofino and can be reached by air or sea.

Temperate Rainforest Field Study Centre

The Field Study Centre hosts students and researchers from around the world to study rainforest ecology and related fields in the Clayoquot UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The Centre is set on a forested ridge overlooking Cougar Annie’s Garden and backs onto Rae Lake.  SLIDE SHOW  >
