Eliana has worked with Ecotrust Canada for over five years as Cartographer and GIS Trainer. Eliana completed her Bachelor of Science in Geography at the University of Victoria in 2005. She specializes in working with First Nation GIS practitioners and with non-profit sector clients. Her favourite projects include creating cartographic products that illustrate the world around us and help people visualize issues that confront them. Eliana trains First Nations partners in the effective use of GIS: assesses skill sets, customizes instruction based on unique needs, then conducts training seminars to encourage professional goals. She also administrates the Aboriginal Mapping Network to facilitate dialogue around First Nations’ GIS use and needs.
