Bill has a background in corporate finance and business management and joined Ecotrust Canada in 1999. At that time, he and his family relocated from Papua New Guinea, where he was doing community economic development work, to start up Ecotrust Canada's business lending program in Clayoquot Sound. He later moved to the Comox Valley to expand the reach of Ecotrust Canada's capital deployment. He has been responsible for spearheading the organization's investments in many of the province's key industries including forestry, value-added processing, fishing, and renewable energy. He is now Ecotrust Canada's Program Director responsible for Capital Management.  This includes his serving as Fund Manager for the First Nation Regeneration Fund.
