Jean Pogge, past Ecotrust Canada President and CEO, is a thought leader who has proven ability to align social mission with revenue goals. Happiest at the intersection of business and social innovation, she led ShoreBank’s pioneering work to attract individual and institutional impact investors while profitably managing multiple lines of business. A social innovator, Pogge co-designed the 1% for Community Campaign that yielded almost $4 billion of investment in Community Development Financial Institutions in the US. As CEO of Delta Institute, she built the organizational leadership and financial stability that made Delta into an influential and innovative nonprofit throughout the Great Lakes region. During her tenure, the Institute launched the Rebuilding Exchange, a successful social enterprise that sells building materials harvested from demolition.
Pogge has a BA in English from Barat College and a Masters in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois. She is a long time member of the Social Venture Network, past Treasurer of the Chicago Foundation for Women, current member of the Alumni Council of the Chicago Foundation for Women and a member of the Chicago Finance Exchange.
