Ecotrust Canada is comprised of a team of professionals skilled in a multitude of disciplines including forestry, GIS, planning, community economic development, marine resource management, eco-certifications, governance, and micro-finance.
Yumi earned a BA from Hirosaki University in Japan, and worked for trading and medical-equipment corporations in Tokyo. Moving to Canada over 15 years ago, she has worked in government organizations including Applicant Services at BC Housing, and the Housing and Finance Departments at Metro Vancouver (the former GVRD). She passed her final CPA exam in fall 2016 and is working toward her full professional accounting designation. She loves nature and wildlife, and has volunteered as a streamkeeper on her local creek for over fifteen years, monitoring salmon spawners, surveying aquatic invertebrates, and removing invasive plants.
