This report captures the North Coast Innovation Lab’s (NCIL) work in 2018 and reflects on its progress through a Developmental Evaluation lens. The NCIL was a place-based initiative supporting tangible projects and initiatives that will build a resilient economy in Prince Rupert from 2017-2020. There was incredible progress and evolution of the NCIL since its launch in 2017, and it had significant local impact. The NCIL’s mission of bringing capacity, research, and energy to innovative projects bore fruit in partnerships and projects of varying scope and scale. The NCIL was well positioned to enable positive impact locally into 2019.
