Access to affordable, clean energy should not be a luxury in Canada. However, rural, remote, and Indigenous communities often face energy costs up to three times the national average. Ecotrust Canada believes that new clean technologies, innovative policies, and local expertise can come together to eliminate energy insecurity. Our Community Energy program partners with Indigenous communities on retrofit projects to make homes healthier and more climate-resilient while reducing energy bills, improving air quality, and cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
