Chantalle joins Ecotrust Canada as a summer intern working with Gitmaxmak’ay Nisga’a Society as the Sustainable Urban Composting Coordinator. Chantalle has a Bachelor of Natural Resource Science and is currently completing her Master of Science, in Environmental Science, at Thompson Rivers University. Her thesis focuses on identifying arthropod biodiversity in response to mine reclamation, using DNA metabarcoding. She is also registered as a biologist-in-training with the College of Applied Biology. Chantalle is passionate about understanding and communicating environmental science to create a sustainable future.
Currently, Chantalle lives in Prince Rupert and has worked on projects in the area for Triton Environmental in partnership with Khtada Environmental as a marine biologist. Since moving to Prince Rupert last summer, she has enjoyed learning about the history and culture of this area. In her time off work, Chantalle enjoys painting, travelling, and exploring the outdoors.
