Samuel Albert, Communications Specialist, Ecotrust Canada, summer

Samuel’s entire upbringing has been influenced by his connection to the natural world. Growing up surrounded by a temperate rain forest next to the ocean in White Rock, BC, Samuel’s interest in the climate justice movement was sparked by endless summer days exploring nearby trails and paddling on the Semiahmoo bay.

Samuel has experience working with the David Suzuki Foundation and Blue Dot Movement where he was an active advocate for the Right to a Healthy Environment in Canada as well as Intergenerational Equity policies. He attended the 2019 SB-50 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Bonn, Germany as a Youth Delegate, as well as the 2019 Global Landscapes Forum in New York City. Samuel hopes to bring his expertise and wisdom from these experiences to the Ecotrust Canada team through his role as a Communications Specialist

Samuel hopes to build on his time with Ecotrust Canada through continuing his studies in Sustainable Design and Environmental Ethics alongside his Master’s of Management at the University of British Columbia.
