Originally from the UK, Sarah had an epiphany whilst working as a marketing professional in her twenties for a global consumer-packaged goods company, realizing that she needed her work to have social impact. So she moved to Vancouver, and has been passionate about building values-based brands that create positive social, economic and environmental impact ever since.
Having spent 15 years leading marketing initiatives at Vancity credit union, and building their Good Money brand, Sarah is a firm believer in the power of keeping your money circling within the local economy. Understanding the essential role that business and non-profits play in creating social innovation and building healthy communities, Sarah saw a natural fit with the impressive body of work at Ecotrust Canada, and started leading their communications in February 2018.
Sarah also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, and in her spare time enjoys triathlons, half marathons, and spending as much time as possible exploring the great outdoors.
