Shelby Huebner.FisheriesDeploymentCoordinator.2022

Shelby is from Ahousaht First Nation, raised in the traditional territory of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations (Tofino). She has spent half of her time living in the traditional territory of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations (Tofino), and the other half living in Ahousaht helping her parents operate her late Grandfather’s General Store.

She loves everything about fishing, including the time out in the boat amid beautiful surroundings, and anticipating the wildlife she may see. Shelby usually goes fishing with her family. It’s the best family and quality time they can get.

Shelby worked as a dockside monitor for a couple of years prior to starting this new position. She took some time off as a monitor but was still in a fisheries related job. She also volunteered her time with the Tofino Salmon Enhancement Society, and she been volunteering for as long as she can remember.
