JULY 24, 2026, Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh)/Vancouver, BC The Province updated CleanBC’s Energy Savings Program (ESP) on July 6, resulting in substantial cuts that reduce access to energy efficiency retrofits such as heat pumps and insulation for low- and moderate-income households. Since 2019, Ecotrust Canada has been advocating to advance energy security for lower-income and rural, remote, and Indigenous households, and we will continue to work with our partners and the Province toward that goal.
