Director of Forestry
Satnam, a Registered Professional Forester (RPF), joined Ecotrust Canada in 2008. He brings unique skills including direct experience with land and natural resource management; valuation of ecosystem services and restoration; and Canada’s regulatory framework for environmental and forest management. Satnam’s experience includes technical support to forest management, community facilitation, planning and First Nations consultation. He has over 20 years of experience working in Natural Resources Management with First Nations and non-First Nations communities, industry, and government. Satnam studied Natural Resource Management (BSc) with a minor in Environmental Planning at the University of Northern British Columbia and has a Forest Technologist Diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He is a board member of FSC Canada and the Heiltsuk Economic Development Corporation (HEDC).
